MARCH MADNESS!! We have almost wrapped up our unit on basketball! Kids absolutely loved seeing what they could challenge themselves to do with the ball. Whether it was dribbling, passing, shooting, or playing a new game students were engaged from beginning to end. We had each classroom participate in a fun bracket activity for the NCAA March Madness Tournament. Each classroom drew teams to cheer for throughout the tournament. The classroom who drew the winning team at Alpine was MRS. PAPRANEC'S Kindergarden class and the winning classroom at Zinser was MRS. HUIZEN'S fifth grade class. They received a special treat!! Congratulations to them and to UCONN!

1st Grade Classes: Students are reviewing the PE procedures and practicing their hopping and jumping skills. They have been introduced to single person jump ropes and long ropes. Next week they will learn songs and tricks to do while they are twirling and jumping the long ropes. Last but not least will be the Chinese Jump Ropes.
